Short version:
I was living in my parents house, and was woke up before my alarm. Unable to go back to sleep I decided to use the extra time to just go for a drive through the countryside. Radio blaring, singing along, watching the lovely green fields roll by.
Finally decided I need to go home and get ready for work so I turned around and headed back. Didn't get very far before I saw this large brown thing galloping across a green field. Did a double take and realised it was a brown bear (not native to Australia at all).
So I pulled over to check out what was going on, and saw some sort of farmer I guess, running after it with a shot gun. Not sure what one person was going to do against a rogue bear, but it seemed like the bear was running in fear so okay. Sort of followed the path they were heading and saw another bear. Extra odd, but okay, a pair and they're running off together. Alright.
Shifted my gaze and found two more... On the main road in front of me. Well just as well I pulled over, hey?
Suddenly bear as big as my car, walking past my car. Freeze. Don't move, bear won't notice. Didn't notice, it just kept wandering. Then while I'm focused on that one passing by, another one walked OVER my car. Like, fuck! Don't move, don't squeak, don't scream, don't breathe. All good. They wander onwards oblivious.
Sigh in relief, and then a car pulls up besides me. Somehow I knew it was a Ranger. Don't know how or why she was there... Y'know, other than the sudden mass of wild fucking bears! But anyway, she pulls over and offers me a ride home. Says her offsider will look after my car til the bears are safely "away".
Well okay Ranger. If you insist, you know what's best. So I get out of my car and climb into hers, and her deputy gets out with a pillow and lays down in the back seat of my vehicle to "supervise" the bears from here. Uh, okay?
Thinking the Ranger will take me around the back streets and "Ranger Trails" to get me home. After all, why else would I jump in her 4x4 vehicle for a ride home. She drives down the side road I was on, and turns onto the main highway..... And just drives between the bears. Wtf? I could have done that. They didn't even batt an eye lash as we sped by.
So I don't even know where she tried to drop me off because it wasn't my (parent's) house where I was staying. And I couldn't even figure out if I should ring work or school, because the last time I lived at my parents was to attend high school.
And then my alarm went off for real and I woke up. O.o Thankfully.
Weirdest dream I've had in a while. What a lovely way to start the New Year. XD
And as a foot note, New Year's was memorable for many reasons. Glad to see my friends can all work together when necessary. Love them all to pieces. <3
This year is gonna be a good year, I'm gonna make it so. So many plans, so many things to do, so many changes I'm gonna make happen. No Resolutions, they never work out. Just determination to make things happen no matter what time of the year it is.
